Taylor Swift is all but running the music industry these days. She owns the pop charts, she owns news cycle after news cycle, and now it appears she owns (or is in the process of applying to own) several phrases that might come up in your everyday conversation. The pop star has filed legal documents claiming trademarks on phrases and images related to her latest album 1989, which ended up being the best-selling album of 2014 in the US.
